And Doggie Just Simply Wagged His Little Tali.The other day as Dr, Thornton was passing up street In his automobile, at the west end of Main street, he notioed Carl Frudden’s Scotch Collie dog playfully running before hia machine; so close was the dog, that the doctor turned to one side to avoid striking him; but he did not see another little dog that was lying down and was playfully wagging his tail. Two wheels of the automobile passed over the little pup, and as the doctor stopped the oar to note the extent of the pup’s injury, doggie simply sprang up, shook himself, wagged his tail, and, if not in words at least in acts said as plainly as he could: “Didn't hurt me a bit, doctor, but I’d rather not have you try it again. The doctor passed on, glad that no bones were broken, and that little doggie may live to wag his tail in friendly recognition of some other man.
