YOUNG GIRL ISBURNER 10 DEATHGrace Slace Ignites Bair While Starting Kitchen Fire.Held Paper Saturated with Oil over a Lighted Lamp.onticntinttIndependence, la., Nov. 16.-t'cWhile saving a match in igniting a piece of paper saturated with kerosene by holding it over a lightedilamp, Grace Staee, aged 13 years, suffered burns at her home here last evening which resulted iu • her death later I after she suffered agony.The girl’s mother, too ill to be about the house, was the only other occupant of the home. 'She could offer the girl no assistance.Hsur Catches Fire.In order to start the fire for the evening meal Grace poured some kerosene over a piece of paper. Then she held it oyer a lighted lamp .to ignite it. The flames leaped high, reaching her hair and setting it on fire. She ran out of doors and the wind fanned the flames so that they ate at her clothing- and licked with torturing tongues at her sensitive flesh. When neighbors who heard her screams came to her assistance, she had received fatal injuries. She died later in the night.T.ccrtcI
