THREE POPULAR YOUNG LADIES.One in Metamora, One in Fairfield and One in Blooming Grove Townships===But We Don’t Know Their Names===Do You? Then Tell Us.The Review is desirous of ascertaining the name of the most popular young lady iff each of the three towhships.—Metamora, Fairfieldand Blooming Grove. When her idenity is determined, in each case, she will be rewarded by us with a cash prize of from one to ten dollars or more and her likeness, (with her full consent, bf course) will be printed in her home department of the Laurel Review. Outside of, Laurel and Brookville townships, these three townships are the Review's strongholds and as we feel very grateful for the patronage we have received from them, we, by this means, propose that one favorite resident of each community shall share in whatever profits have accrued. But we can not undertake to determine whom the most popular young lady Is, in any case. That must be settled by her neighbors and friends. And as there may be adozen very popular young ladies in each township, and doubtless is,the matter can only be settled justly by vote, the one getting the greater number or votes securing the prize. There will be no restriction as to the number of young ladies who may be voted for.All votes received from each township will be placed in a safe receptacle, but will not be counted or assorted until Tuesday, February 4.1003 when a “returning board” consisting of Prof. Will 0. Moore, of the Laurel High School and Miss Cora Steffey, will canvass and count the votes and declare the awards. Any township or candidate is welcome to have a representative present at Ibis count, which will take place in the editor’s home. After the counting, the ballots will be preserved for reference in case of dispute. It costs nothing to vote, but every vote must represent patronage of the Review. Three forms of blanks for voting are here given, to meet all conditions. The first form given can be voted by anyone In the township by merely clipping it from the Review, filling out the blank lines, enclosing it in a sealed envelope and handing it to our local agent or sending it to this office.
