Manufacture of Coke Commenced.Last week four ol? the coke ovens of the Crow’s Nest Pass Coal Company at Fernie were lired, and the work of manufacturing coke was commenced. The company has fifty coke ovens completed, and (ires in the others will be started at once. Pernio is to be populated with Nova Scotia coal miners, and 150 miners with their families art* now on their way to tlie new mines. Twenty-four miners with their families arrived at Fertile last week.
