A Public Cemetery.ReverendsStephen, Nicolls and Hanna and Mr. Higgmson, representing respectively the Presbyterian, Episcopalian, Methodist and Roman Catholic churches,, Mr. J. P. Mitchell, agent of the N. \V . L. Company, and Mr. J. K. Drinnan, secretary of committee appointed to prepare report re the procuring of land for a public cemetery, held a meeting in Mr. Mitchell’s office on Tuesday afternoon. On rdotion of Revds. Stephen and Hanna, Mr. Drinnan took the chair. Mr. Nicolls explained that on behalf of bis congregation he had applied to the N. W, L, Company for lots for a cemetery for their church and it had been suggested to him that it would be a better idea to unite with the other churches and procure the land, then have it divided. Tills suggestion was concurred in by the other representatives. After some desultory talk about desirable locations it was suggested that the chairman should call a public meeting for next Tuesday evening to discuss the whole matter.
