We print, by request, the following vote of thanks, tendered by the members of Washington Hook and Ladder Company No. 1, toChries Tuthill, .engineer of the steamer H. H. Newkirk. It lssigned by the three iremen who wore rescued by the gallant engineer:Wo, the undersigned, members of Washington Hook and Ladder Company No. 1, of the city of Hoboken, do most lieartlly and gratefully tender our thanks, as well as those of the Company, to Churles Tuthill, engineer of Steamer H. H. Newkirk, who, on the nightof November 6 last, during the disastrous lirewhich destroyed the Eagle line steamshippier and much other valuable property atHoboken, so bravely and gallantly rescuedus from a watery grave.
