NICHOLAS JANOWER on Thursday, November 12, 1987, at his residence, Arborg, Manitoba, Nick Janower, aged 70 years. Born November 1, 1917 at Rosenberg, Mr. Janower had liv ed and farmed most of his life in the Arborg district. He served in the Army during the Second World War and had owned and operated his own saw mill for many years. . Nick was pedeceased by his wife Annie in January, 1983; was also predeceased by his father Alex in 1960; by an infant sister Julia and by a brother John in 1987. Surviv ing to mourn his loss are four sons, Edward and wife Adeline of Winnipeg, Kenneth and wife Florence of Kitchener, Ont., Nor man and wife Lori of Winnipeg, Lenard and wife Lori of Win nipeg; one daughter Mrs. Johnny Sokil (Linda) of Fraserwood; seven grandchildren; his mother Molly Janower of Arborg; two brothers, William and wife Helen of Arborg and Paul of Arborg; one sister Mary and husband Ben Manage of Orillia, Ont.; numerous nieces and nephews. Prayers were held on Monday, November 16 at 7:30 p.m. in the Arborg (MacKenzie) Funeral Chapel. Funeral service was held on Tuesday, November 17 at 10 a.m. in the Sacred Heart Ukrai nian Catholic Church, Arborg, Rev. Fr. E. Hasichuk officiating. Interment followed in the Okno Cemetery.
