FUNERAL SERVICES FOR JOHN LEONARD GAMMJohn Leonard Gamm was born on May 4, 1893, at Arlington, Iowa, one of nine children of J. Leonard Gamm and his wife Pauline nee Handel. He was brought to Holy Baptism at St. Scbald Lutheran Church, Strawberry Point, where he was also confirmed. He was educated in the schools of the community.On January 10, 1917, he was united in marriage to Anna Katherine Burrack of Arlington. To this union eight children were born, four sons and four daughters. Together with his wife and family, he was engaged in farming near the Arlington community. In 1940 he moved to a farm near Volga, but in 1951 he returned to Arlington to become sexton of the Taylorsville and Arlington cemeteries, and custodian of St. John Lutheran Church, serving in those capacities for many years. In addition, he also served on the Arlington Town Councl. John was also a charter member of St. John Lutheran Church.Following a fall this summer, in which he broke his shoulder, he lived at the Lutheran Home in Strawberry Point, where early this week, he became ill and was taken to the hospital in
