Ribbon + cutting ceremonies Sa turday will highlight the Continen tal Trailways’ open house at its new terminal to be located at 919 Houston. Judge F. James Karen of the 49th District Court will do the ribbon cutting at 2 p.m. Other features of the gala open ing, which will last from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., will include free coffee, door prizes and balloons for the kids. Bigger and up - to- date acco modations will make the terminal one of the most modern in the city. The terminal originally locat ed at 1405 Farragut and moved temporarily to San Bernardo and Houston 9 days ago. New features for the terminal will be a smack bar and a barber shop, according to Lloyd Little Sr. manager for Continental Trailways. Mrs. Little will man age the snack bar. One- stop service and model restroom facilities will be avail able for the customer. Due to attract a lot of attention will be the Silver Eagle, a newly designed German bus which will be on exhibit all day. The bus, which will have a ca pacity of 46 passengers, has an elevated floor which allows all the passengers to look out through the windshield. It is radio-equipped and has a PA system with indivi dual speakers in each section. Silver Eagles are regarded as the latest in highway travel. At present, Continental Trail ways offers frequent schedules to San Antonio, Corpus Christi, the Rio Grande Valley and El Paso as well as to all points in the United States, Mexico and Canada. The terminal will be open daily from 6 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.
