The Court of Common Pleas com menced its session in this county on Mon day last, Hon. H. C. Wittson presiding. The following persons were empannelled and sworn as Grand Jurors: James McDowant, Foreman. Hugh Chare, William Large, John. A. Sith, Joseph Oldfield, Jesse L.. Collins, Daniel Firetrock, Geo. Frasure, David M. Risley, 8. S. Fetheroll, Daniel Notestone, Daniel Duffey, Andrew Ketchum, John Primmer, L. W. Snider. The charge of the Judge to the Grand Jury was brief but impressive and point ed. It was spoken of by all who heard it, as an excellent effort. But little busi ness came before the Court on Monday. Evean Jones, indicted for Grand Lar ceny, plead Guilty and was sentenced to one years service in the Penitentiary. On Tuesday severe cases were dispos ed of, some of them of considerable im portance. The Grand Jurors completed their labors, having presented twelve in dictments, 10 for Retailing, 1 for Assaul end Battery, and 1 for Gaming. On Wednesday morning several minor columnnl cases were disposed of, and ie Court adjourned.
