BRADY CALHOUN ‘News Herald Writer “747-5075 | bealhoun@penh.com PANAMA CITY — After the last election, a loud group of locals were not happy. _ They made their unhappiness known during demonstrations at the Federal Courthouse and during a health care forum with U.S. Rep. Allen Boyd, D-Monticello.. When early voting begins Monday, the proof ‘about how people feel about their elected representatives , will not be decided on talk shows or street corners. The loudest voices will not have any more say than the smallest ones. This election will be decided in the ballot box as one by one the American people make their choices. We the people, Mark Andersen, Bay County’s supervisor of elections, has placed early voting booths at the new library on Panama City Beach, at the city halls of Lynn, Haven and Parker, and at the supervisor of elections’ main office on 11th Street in Panama City. Registered voters’ can cast ballots at any of the four sites from 9’a.m.to 5 p.m. Mon day through Saturday through Oct. 30. Those not voting early can vote in their precinct polling place on election day, Nov. 2. The local turnout tends to be around 70 percent of registered voters, Ander sen said.
