Dewey S. MinnickNEW MARKET - Dewey S. Minnick, 74, of New Market died Thursday afternoon.He was born Sept. 10, 1898 at New Market and was a son of the late Martin and Melvina Good Minnick.He married Emma Ruth Tusing who died in 1944.Surviving are a son, Warren Minnick of Timberville; two daughters, Mrs. Raymond Rice of Winston-Salem, N.C. and Mrs. Richard Myers of New Market and three brothers, Herbert L. Minnick of New Market, David Minnick of Mt. Jackson and James Minnick of Pennsylvania.He was a member of Smith Creek Baptist Church where the funeral will be conducted 2 p.m. Saturday by the Rev. Elmer E. Mehl. Burial will be in St. Matthew’s Cemetery.Friends may call at the home of Richard Myers tonight.Pallbearers will be Charles Hamer, Garlin Estep, Lory L. Dove, Harvey Ankers, Raymond Whetzel and W. T. Campbell.Members of Phoebe Daniel Sunday school class will be honorary attendants.The body is at the Theis Funeral Home.
