SPANISH FORK—Announce ment is made by Arthur Stew art of the marriage of his daugh ter, Miss Ruth Stewart, to Wen dall Evans, son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Evans of Provo. The wedding ceremony was performed at the bride’s home by H. Eugene Hughes at 7:30 p. m. November 9, in the presence of relatives and close friends. The couple stood in front of the man tel, which was beautifully ar ranged with pink and white chrysanthemums, sweet peas and lighted tapers. The bride wore a gown of soldier blue silk crepe and a corsage of gardenias. The buffet held a large wedding cake, while the dining table was covered with a lace cloth and decorated with sweet peas and candles. The couple will make their home in Spanish Fork. Mrs. Bert Stewart and Mrs. Robert Jex were joint hostesses at a bride’s shower compliment ing Mrs. Evans Wednesday aft ernoon at the home of Mrs. Stewart. The guests included the bride's grandmother, Mrs. Hannah Stewart, and her moth er-in-law, Mrs. Evans, and 26 near relatives. A hot venison dinner was served, the hostesses being assisted by Mrs. Vernon Hurst of Payson, Miss Elthear Jex, Mrs. Sadie Stewart and Mrs. M. F. Crandall. A prenuptial shower for Ruth Stewart Evans was given prior to her marriage by Mrs. Ray Gull and her daughter, Mrs. Donna Anderson, at the home of Mrs. Gull. The guests were the neighbors and close friends of the bride, 40 of whom were present.
