Mrs. Walter Beattie Funeral services were conduc ted in Miniota United church on Monday by Rev.G.A McMillan for Minnie Beattie, wife of the late Rev. Walter Beattie. Burial was made in Miniota cemetery, the pallbearers being Messrs C Crockard, J.J.Henderson 2 Strachan, J.D.Forsyth, T. H. Stewart and W D. Berwick Mrs. Beattie died in Calgary last Wednesday at the home of her daughter (Mona) Mrs. D. Hunter. Death was due to heart failure. She was in her 69th year A funeral service was held in Calgary on Saturday with all members of the family present except Douglas. H Beattie or Beulah, who was in Calgary on business, was present at the time of death and accompanied the body to Miniota yesterday. Rev. and Mrs. Beattie resided in Beulah for a number of years when the former had charge of the Orrwold field of the Presby terian church and later at Miniota in charge of this field. Mr Beattie died at Miniota in Jan uary 1916. The eldest daughter Mary, also died here. Last to mourn their loss are four sons: Harry of Benlab; Rex of Alix, Alta., son of Vancouver; Douglas of New Osgoode, Sask., and a daughter. Mrs Hunter of Celgary.
