EPSTEIN’S BLOCK BURNED About 11.15 on Wednesday night fire was discovered in the old Robinson block on Eveline Street, occupied by Wm. Epstein Sons as a general store, and Bell Jones, implement agents. The alarm was immediatly turned in, but despite the best efforts of the firemen and citizens the whole block was destroyed. It is impossible at the time of going to press to obtain any particulars save for the fact that the entire stock of general merchan dise is a total loss. Most of the im plements, etc, belonging to Bell Jones were removed.The second floor of the block was occupied by a number of families, including F. Wakefield, G. Lypietski, J. P. Savard, R. N. Laird, N. Pauley, Mrs. Tetero, Mrs. Gillmore, A. Oleson and J. Forrest, the latter having just moved in. Those occupy ing the suites above were forced out into the cold night air in their night attire, all their furniture and personal possessions being burned.
