Albert Ferario. 19 years old. of 17 Seventh avenue, was held in $2,r»00 bonds by Judge Hahn In the Third Precinct Police Court today. •Miss Devita stated that she and the defendant had been keeping company for the past year. They had met in the factory where both were employed. Her parents did not object to her paving him call on her, she said, and j preparations for their wedding were under way. Mias Devita alleged that , Ferario saw her talking to another fellow, and his jealousy was aroused j She requested that he come to see her j no longer. Then, It is said, that he wrote her threatening letters. A small I picture that he had was sent to her tern and on the face wore marks which In stated would be applied to her face. The torn picture was shown in court today.Ferario did not deny that he sent the letters, but said he did not wish to | carry out his threats. Judge Hahn i forced him to admit that lie was thinking of disfiguring her so that if she refused to become his wife no other I man would want her. After the court t had fixed the bail bond, counsel for the defendant attempted • to have the amount reduced, but this Judge Hahn i refused to do.
