A British steamer from Singapore to New York bad a monkey ahow that made things lively for several days. A big lot of monkeys had been shipped for New York. When a oonple of days out they broke out of their cage and took the ship. They climbed into the rigging, hid in the cabin, and went on the rampage generally. Throe or four of them jumped overboard, and it was a week or more before the others were captnred. One of them, which they called the po-1 lioe monkey, caught three or four of the ' mutineers liim6elt. Ho is not an Irish 1 1 monkey although his name is Pat. I
