Both Cincinnati and Louisville have got it bad. Oxen have taken the place of horses to a considerable extent. In Cincinnati some of the milk wagons are propelled by goat power. The fire engines are run by man power, and the want of the noble horse is, felt keenly in every branch of business. The heaviest blow falls upon the pork men. As far as we are able to learn Indianapolis has as yet escaped the disease. There may have been an isolated case here and there. We should be thankful that we have been thus far spared, but keep a sharp eye ahead, for we can hardly hope to escape it.
