meeting to re in Jjappm a -u.au.Uhion Mejttins.—On Friday^ evening last, a large and intelligent audience assembled at Metropolitan Hall, to listen to an addreBs from Prof. Edward Searing, ©f Miltorij on the political aspects of the times. The speech was one of the best that has been delivered here during the campaign. It was terse, logical and eloquent, and elicited continued applause { from these present. We heard but one opinion expressed concerning it, and that was that it was one of the most effective and able speeches ever delivered here.
