^ iuiu •About 1800, one Gallant Reynolds lived on the present court house site, lie built tlie first cabin on here some , time prior to 1800 this cabin here some name of Jug Tavern. Gallant Reynolds married Jemima Culp in 1702. Their children are Thomas, Gallant, who wed Miss Martin; Mary horn in 1798 who wed Edmond C James, George born 1805 who wed Elizabeth 4'hapman; Viney who wed a Mr. Grown, Sarah who wed Moses Chapman; Pen-inah horn 1813 who wed Hiram Camp. The Culp family lived near old Antioch Baptist church. Their names appear •on the church roll in 1840.This gallant Reynolds died in 1820 -and was buried in our present court house yard southeast of the north door.
