^ iuiu •About 1800, one Gallant Reynolds lived on the present court house site, lie built tlie first cabin on here some , time prior to 1800 this cabin here some name of Jug Tavern. Gallant Reynolds married Jemima Culp in 1702. Their children are Thomas, Gallant, who wed Miss Martin; Mary horn in 1798 who wed Edmond C James, George born 1805 who wed Elizabeth 4'hapman; Viney who wed a Mr. Grown, Sarah who wed Moses Chapman; Pen-inah horn 1813 who wed Hiram Camp. The Culp family lived near old Antioch Baptist church. Their names appear •on the church roll in 1840.This gallant Reynolds died in 1820 -and was buried in our present court house yard southeast of the north door. In 1825 tie administrator wound up the estate for Jemima Reynolds and children and turned over the Jug Tavern Property to Richard Hill.mi. . -V- ! 1.1....-s.n twl \f nrr
