Panther Killed.—On the 9th inst., a male Panther was killed in Monroe county, near Crockett’s Bluff, by James Mayo. He measured nine feet from the tip of his nose to the end of his tail.That beautiful season known as “Indian Summer,” took its departure from this latitude on Saturday morning last. We had a change from the balmy breezes of the South to the chiHing winds of the North in the short Apace of an 'hour.(J5TA company of Georgians passed through our town on Saturday last on their way home from Pikers Peak.
