New Deputy Director joins Marshall Library teamThe Board of Trustees and Staff of the Marshall District Library invite you to welcome the library's new Deputy Director and Head of Technical Services, Angela Semifero. Angela comes to Marshall from the East Lansing Public Library, where she worked as a Children’s Services and Reference Librarian. Prior to her work in East Lansing, she worked as the Assistant Director of the Northfield I j 1 ib;Angela earned her Master's Degree in Library and Information Science from Wayne State University and her Bachelor of Arts in English from Michigan State University.She is currently the Co-Chair of the Michigan Library Association (MLA) Spring Institute Planning Committee, and a Member-at-Large for the Michigan Library Association Teen Services Division. In addition, she works as a book reviewer for Voice of Youth Advocates (VOYA) magazine.She recently completedassisting in a research study for the Library of Michigan, and has been involved with the MLA Literature and the Child Planning Committee, MLA Thumbs Up! Award Committee, and the Young Adult Library Services Association’s Selected DVDs and Videos Committee.Angela was born andreared in Waterford. She also spent time in Naples, Italy and Claremont, California. She now lives in Lansing with her husband, who is employed by the State of Michigan, and their two cats, Jack and Daisy.Marshall Library Director. Laurie St. Laurent, says, “We are fortunate to have Angela join our staff.
