Jerry Beran, 46, Buried ThursdayFuneral services for Jerry Beran, 40, who died after a brief illness Tuesday, were held at the Czech Moravian Brethren church at Ocker at 2 p.m. Thursday by the Rev. Albert Michalik and the Rev. F. J. Kostohryz. Burial was in the Ocker cemetery.Beran was born in Bell county June 11, 1911, and had lived here all of his life. He was married Dec. 11, 1932, to Miss Clara Ru-zicka at the Ocker church. He had operated a grocery store at Zabcikville for the past 11 years. He was a member of the Czech Moravian Brethren church at Ocker; SPJST Lodge 24, and Temple Elks Lodge.He is survived by his wife of Zabcikville, one son and daughter-in-law, Lt. and Mrs. Joseph James Beran of Fort Sill, Okla.; his mother, Mrs. Anna Beran of Zabcikville; a brother, Arnold Beran of Houston; a sister, Mrs. Jerry Simek of Zabcikville; two nephews and one niece.Pallbearers were Jerome Green, Charley Bartek, Jack Meyer, Lester Hoelscher, Albert Krupka, Ben Zabcik, Ed Zavod-ny, Ernest Schiller, Frank 1’ras-ifka and Bill Burtis.
