OBITUARYMrs, John WhelanWe regret to announce thesudden passing on November 6th, of Mary Jane Matthews, aged 64, wife of John Whelan, of 6626 So. May St., Chicago,111. The deceased lady was a native of Broad Cove, Bonavista Bay, Nfld., and leaves to mourn, besides her loving husband, two sons, James and John Whelan, and a daughter, Mrs. Mary O'Callagban, a 11 living in Chicago; three brothers, JosephAdr\ ♦■♦hrirf rr A Qf RrOrtl/.lyn, N. Y.; James Matthews, 396 Brunswick St.,- Trenton, N. J., and Michael Matthews in Broad Cove, B.B., Nfld.; and one sister, Mrs. Anna Whelan, 617 E.28th St., Erie, Pa.Funeral services were held on Monday, November 10th, at 9A. M. at St. Brendan’s R. C.Church, 67th St. and Racine Ave., Chicago, and interment took place at St. Mary's Cemetery. The NEWFOUNDLAND TIMES joins in an expression ofdeep sympathy to the family and relatives of the deceased.
