Mrs. C. C. Burr who has been visiting relatives at Cotulla for the past two months arrived yesterday evening to attend the funeral of Mr. J. M. Burr which took place this morning. Mr. 8S. G. Ragland arrived in the city Sunday evening on the Texas Mexican train from Kings ville, The Times regrets to say that Mr. Ragland was taken sick while on the train and had to call in a physician on his arrival, Mr. F. M. Felton, president of the Mexican Central, and Mr. G. Stanley another official of that road arrived this morning in private car number 16 and left on the I. N. for Austin. Mr. H. Miller who has been here for the past two months putting up the wrecking car for the National Railroad by Sunday morning on the I. G. N. for Houston Texas. Rev. R. C. Blailock left this morn ing for Fort Worth to attend the Baptist State convention which begins on the tenth, and will be gone about ten days. Mr. H. C. Houston who has been in the city for the past week looking at some land with the view of buy ing, left Sunday morning for his home in Illinois. Mr. S. J. Withoff and sister Miss Refugio Gutierrez arrived this morning from Bustamente where they have been visiting relatives for the past week. Conductor Smodk, of the Southern division of the National left Saturday evening to resume his duties there after being away some time. Messrs. C. V. Holland and Ed. Everett of the San Antonio Ex press are in the city and from here they will go to Mexico on business. Messrs. W. A. Kerr, C. E Manly, Geo, E. Tarver and Geo. L. Henrich son of Cotulla are in the city at tending the federal court. Mr. Morris a National dispatcher with headquarters at Monterey arrived Sunday morning on the national to visit his family. Mr. John Loftus who has been visiting her mother in this city for the past week left this morning for her home at Minera. Mrs. M. Hansen arrived in the city last week from Brownsville on a three months’ visit to her sister, Mrs. Devine. Mr. H. D. Harrison, the Popular traveling man of New Orleans ar rived on the Texas Mexican Satur day. Mr. and Mrs. Jose Delgado of San Antonio arrived in the city Sunday morning on the I. G. N. Trainmaster J. C. Gravis, of the National arrived Sunday morning from Monterey on a business trip. Mr. J. Armengol returned from Cactus Saturday, where he went a few days ago on business, Mr. P. F. Dunn of Corpus Christi arrived in the city yesterday to attend federal Court. Mr. Roscoe Burbank arrived in the city yesterday from Mexico for a visit to his mother, Mr. J. W. Spencer of El Paso arrived in the city Saturday for a visit to Mr. H. Dunn. Mr. Frank Pierce arrived on the National this morning from Brownsville. Mr. Rafael Vidaurri returned yesterday from a business trip to San Antonio. Mr. C. H. Randolph returned yesterday from a short trip up the I, GN. Mr. T. A. Colman arrived in the city this morning from San Antonio. Mr. Phil Hobbs of Alice is in the city attending court this week. Mr. J. C. Marshall of Dallas ar rived in the city this morning. Customs Inspector J. R. Barnard of the coal mines is in the city. Mr. Will Peters arrived in the city yesterday from Benavides, Deputy Sheriff C. P.
