E. L. Swenson, a prominent McKinney farmer, visited in Minot Tuesday, the first time in two years. “I hardly knew the town, he said, “especially on the north side.9 9 Mr. Swenson is kicking himself because several years ago he did not buy lots which are worth tcday a thousand dollars. Such lots I could have been bought then for $25 or $50. He is making a success of farming, his land being in the fertile Mouse river valley. His fiax this year averaged 16 bushels and wheat 25. He has plowed his land this fall and hopes to increase the yield a good deal next season. He informs us that Miller Paff has about completed the new 100 barrel flour mill at McKinney.
