Elmer Peppies and wife, of Newcom erstown, have been spending a couple of weeks with his parents here. He has been suffering from the grip for a week, but is able to be out again. Joseph Muller has been suffering from the grip, but is some better at this writing. Birda Penn returned home last week after an extended visit with friends in Uhrichsville. Herman Bean visited home folks the first of last week. School commenced here Monday of last week, with Melvin Exley as teach er. Miss Anna Steel, of Friendly Ridge, has been visiting in this section the past two weeks. Rev. A. E. Grubbs delivered a very interesting sermon here Sunday night.
