She subsequently declared that her son was innocent, and that his master had on several occasions evinced a strong animosity to him, and she added that she beard him declare that with respect to her son, he would before long either have him in an hospital, or else locked up in a prison.The prisoner reiterated bit innocence of the charge, upon which he waa remanded, the magistrate giving directions that further inquiry should be instituted In order to ascertain whether he had any disreputable acquaintances.Sophia Allen, an antiquated female, dressed in a very grotesque style, and who stated her age to be 80, was charged with creating a disturbance in the lobby of theQueen’s Prison.At abont four o’clock on Use previous afternoon the pri*I sonar demanded to be admitted into the prison, but having I previously misconducted herself on several occasions, orders were given to the turnkey to refuse her admittance. Heaccordingly did so. when ehe kicked up such a disturbance that he was compelled to lock her up.
