WilKe TyroServices for Willie Inez Tyra, 88, were held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at the First Baptist Church Chapel with the Rev. Bill Hardage, pastor, officiating.Burial was in Murray Cemetery near Graham under the direction of Branon Funeral Home with graveside services being given by Rev. Glenn Bridges, a Baptist minister.A native of Young County, Mrs. Tyra was a resident of Lamesa for 51 years. She died around 7:30 p.m. Monday at Lamesa Medical Arts Hospital following an extended illness.She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Lamesa and had belonged to that religion for 76 years. She was also a member of the Rebecca Lodge.Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. B.R. McCasland of Tulia, Mrs. G.T. Reed and Mrs. J.D. Me Amis, both of Lamesa; two sons, Jess W. Tyra of Post and Gene Tyra of Lamesa; her sister, Mrs. Ruby Myers of New Castle; a brother, Bert Walsh of Pampa; 13 grandchildren and 21 great - grandchildren.Grandsons served as pallbearers.
