The Snow College forensic squad participated in their first tournament of the season Oct. 27 and 28 at BYU. Those individuals who partici pated and their divisions are as follows: Charlene Jones, Janet Madsen, Gary Jewkes, Robert Greenwood, Craig Armstrong, Rand Beacham, Diana Jensen, Martha Keeler, Larry Matson and Mike Short, debate; Cora Jackman, Larry Matson, Mike Shore, Charlene Jones, Gary Jewkes, Janet Madsen and Craig Armstrong, extemporaneous speaking; Rand Beacham and Robert Greenwood, interpretive reading, and Adria Eggman, Janet Howell, Susan Plummer, John Longaker and Sally Mower, oratory. Under the direction of Debate Coach Demont Howell, the Snow team captured first place in the sweepstakes, and pulled down two victories in individual competition. In the area of oration, Janet Howell received a third place honor while in the area of de bate, Gary Jewkes teamed up with Robert Greenwood to win five out of six debates. The forensic squad also trav eled to Grand Junction, Colo. on November 10 and 11 to compete at Mesa College. The results of that meet have not yet been of ficially released.
