Jefferson take over on a fumble and start to prove that passes would not be at a minimum as had been earler forecast. Follow ing an incomplete pass, a pitch, eut and a handoff which carried them to the Panther 31, Quarter back Jim Smith threw a long one that had touchdown written on it before a rain shrouded Liberty figure intercepted it and ran it back to the Liberty Libertys line decided it would not be moved following its kick out to the Panther 23.
