MRS. JOHN GREENUPMrs. John Greenup passed away at the Holmes hospital iu Macomb, Thursday morning, Nov. 7, at 1:00 o’clock, aged 46 years and 17 days. Her death was caused from pneumonia following influenza, with which she had been ill three weeks. An operation which she had undergone some time ago had left her in a weakened condition and she had not sufficient strength to battle with the disease.Private funeral services were held at the Hainline chapel Saturday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock and interment was made in Oakwood cemetery .Myrle Cordell, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James W. Cordell, (the former deceased), was horn in Industry, October 20, 1872, and grew to womanhood here. She moved from here with her parents to Kansas where they lived a few y*ars, and returned with them to Macomb where she has since made her home.On September 10, 1894, she was united in marriage at Chicago to WilliamP. H. Scott, andonedaugh-ter, Grace, now Mrs. Lollis G. Decker of Chippewa Kalis, Wis., was born to this union. Mr. Scott died in Macomb in January, 1896. On February 10, 1900, she was united in marriage at Galesburg to John Greenup and to this union six children were born, all of whom are at home. They are Josephine, James, Howard, Frances, Wayne and Lo-raine. Besides the seven children named above she is survived by her husband, who is now in the State hospital at Bartonville. She also leaves her mother, Mrs. Anna Cordell of North Madison street, Macomb; two brothers, Orin, of Ma-*comb, and Harry of Minonk, and lt;one sister, Mrs. Carl Black of Wav-erly, Mo.
