A Boy Commits Suicide.—Alonzo Naylor, eldest ion of Granville Naylor, of the upper portion of tliii valley, says the Jacksonville (Oregon) Sentinel of the 30th September, committed suicide yesterday morning by shooting himself through the head with a rifle. He wos only about 14 years of 8ge, and there was no apparent cause for the dreadful oet. On the evening previous the buy had been scolded or otherwise slightly puniihrd for going off hunting and neglecting hi* work. This greatly incensed him. Shortly after he attracted the attention of hit mother by dividing his money among his brothers and sinters On being told to keep his money, he said he did not want it, and that he would never do another day's work for his father. He went to bed as usual, and next morning before break-last, crawled out of the window, with the rifle and shot himself by placing the muzzle of the rifle against his head and pushing the trigger with hit toe.
