Popular and Well Known Sales man Expired at Home Tuesday General regret is being express ed at the passing of W. C. Nash, who died at his home on South Ka nawha street Tuesday afternoon, after a lingering illness with can cer of the liver. For some time his condition had been regarded as serious, and in company with his wife, Mr. Nash spent several weeks in Pittsburg consulting specialists, and was later a patient at the Johns Hop kins hospital in Baltimore. How ever, his case was so far advanced that he could be given only tem porary relief and he gradually grew weaker until death relieved him of his suffering. Mr. Nash was born in Parkers burg, March 24, 1857, being 60 years, 7 months and 12 days old when he died. He was popular with a host of friends in this and adjoining coun ties, having traveled this territory for the past twenty-four years, first in the interest of Lewis Hub bard Company, of Charleston, ad later of the Raleigh Grocery Company, of Mabscott. He was also in the employ of Ruffner Brothers, of Charleston for seven years, and was recogniz ed as being one of the most popu lar and successful commercial travelers who ever worked this territory. His straight forward business principles, together with his kindness of heart and manner won the admiration, not only of his employers and customers, but all with whom he came in contact. To many of his old friends he was known as ‘Pa’? Nash. He was married to Mrs. M. F French, a prominent lady of this city, on December 22, 1914, who th one brother, Charles Nash, of Pittshore, Pa. survive him. Hej leo survived by a half brother, Edward Nash, of Ashville, N.C. The funeral service was conduct ed at the residence Thursday aft ernoon at 2:30 o'clock, by Rev. C KM Rostofer, internent following 1 Wildwood cemetery.
