MARY HILL TITUS,llrs. Mary Hill (Titus), the aged colored lady, who for more than a half century, has been a familiar tig-ure in Logansport, has now reachedthe age of lt;S4 years. Airs. Hill liasenjoyed the experience of “second sight,’’ is healthy ;nd hearty, with the exception of a few ‘‘bad aches and pains, and is able to get about the city with as much ease as is enjoyed by many people who have not readied the age of fifty. Mrs. Hill’s mind is dear and strong and her descriptions of things that happened in thsi city when Logan sport was “a little bit of a village, are extremelyinteresting. Airs. Hill is a never failing attendant at the morning services of the Broadway Presbyterian church and is able to hear and enjoy the sermons as well as she did before the years began to count on the other side of the half century. She lived during war times in a litle frame cottage on a high limestone bluff that stood at the northeast corner of Fourth and .High streets, which property was afterwards purchased . by Mr. McGveevv and the bluff red.need to the present level of the street. Mrs. Hill owns the property at No. 312 Third street which is occupied as a barber shop, the second door of which she uses as a residence.
