dreaded disease.t$T A box of curiosities was exhibited at the late agricultural fair in Randolph county, III., on the 9th ultimo, by Miss Maria Coulter, a teacher. It consisted chiefly of articles sent from New England, to wit: a sprig of the Charter Oak, a piece of white quartz taken from the summit of Killington, a piece of the great Rocking Rock near Craftsbury, a sprig of cedar from the bed of Runaway Pond, in Glover, a sprig of pine from the summit of the Green Mountains, Ac. These articles took the first premium in the cu-riosity department.—News.
