TbaWay it SendsMiTo the Editor: —Sunday, October 19th, as you know, State University conducted a concert as part of the festivities of Homecoming Weekend. Well aware of deficiencies exhibited in the past by the Clarkson College Union Board’s sound system, we made the decision to use C.U.B's lights and stage in the Clarkson Gym, and to rent a sound system from Music City ^ in Massena. We were quite pre- -pared to spend the $100 rental fee for this equipment, the best available.On the Friday immediately preceding the concert, a friend of mine over heard a conversation in which was mentioned that if the Music City equipment were , used, the CUB staff would not, suddenly, be available to construct the stage and operate the lights for the concert.On Saturday morning, Emily Savage, the co-chairman of Homecoming received a telephone call from a representative of the College Union Board, who informed her that it wouldbe impossible at that time to Integrate a different sound system with their lights. (As far as I am aware, no inter-connections are necessary and the two systems are entirely separate). This smells strongly to me of feather bedding.(Continued on page 6)
