Anderson who were married in a pretty late fall ceremony Oct. 24 at the First Congregational Church, Chelsea.The bride is the former Carolyn Janb Benson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter C. Benson, 18 Bartlett parkway. The bridegroom is the son of Mrs. Edward Anderson, 54 Beal streetRev. William D. Rowlands of the Chelsea church officiated at the double-ring service and the bride’s father gave her in marriage.The bride wore a princess gown of antique ivory satin and Chantilly lace with an illusion neckline and full cathedral train. Her headpiece of tulle and lace was trimmed with seed pearls and held her three-tiered flnger-tip-length veil.She carried a shower bouquet of white baby roses, poms and orchids with streamers of steph-anotis.Miss Marion MacWhorter, the maid of honor, was gowned in bai-lerina-length antique shantung in gold with .matching slippers. Her bouquet was of pink sweetheart rosfs, snapdragons and carnations which matched her headpiece.Miss Ellen Cronin and Mrs. Jeanne Walcsak were bridesmaids. They wore ballerina-length gowns of green antique shantung with matching slippers. They carried bouquets of French roses, yellow snapdragons and carnations and wore matching headpieces.Flower girl was Paula Walsh. She wore Nile green nylon taffeta and carried an old-fashioned bouquetCharles Doty attended the bridegroom as best man and church guests were ushered to their places by Harold Slater and Kenneth Eagleson.A stone blue taffeta gown with beaded bodice and matching hatwas chosen by the bride’s mother for the occasion. Her ensemble was completed with a corsage of camelias and navy blue accessories.The mother of the bridegroom wore peacock blue lace over taf-l feta, pink sweetheart roses and pink accessories.Mrs. Charles Doty, sister of the bridegroom, was guest book attendant at the reception which followed in the church vestry.Upon leaving for her wedding trip the new Mrs. Anderson wore a grey suit with rose coat and navy blue accessories and a white orchid corsage.Both newlyweds were educated in the local schools and were graduated from Winthrop High School. The bride is employed by the New England Telephone and Telegraph Co. in Boston. The bridegroom is employed locally by a contractor.Surprise Couple On AnniversaryMr. and Mrs. James Corbett were surprised on Saturday evening when they visited the home of Mr. and Mrs. Edmund Secatore of 97 Circuit road, to find friends waiting to help celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary.The celebration was given by the Nine-of-Us Hooking Club, a group in which Mrs. Corbett is an active member.A ham supper was enjoyed by everyone, and the Corbetts were presented a chest of silver dollars. Mrs. Corbett was given a beautiful orchid.The James Corbetts live at 25 Plummer avenue and have three children, a daughter and two sons.Among the guests were Mr. and Mrs. Fred Wilcke, Mrs. Dee Robertson, Mr. and Mra Ronald Porter, Mr. and Mrs. Fred DiNapoli, Mrs. Anna Crowe, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Carter and Mr. and Mrs. Edmund Secatore.
