OD, CLAYTON COUNTY, IOWA, THURSDAY, NOV. 12, 1914.A NEW GARAGE WILL BE ERECTED HERE— #-Welterlen Bros. Have Purchased Old Im piemen! Building Corner and Will Build Thereon.Lloyd Maxson, who recently came into possession of the corner property that has been used as an implement house, has sold the corn«r lot to J. J. Welterlen and Sons of near Manchester and is now busily at work getting it ready to vacate the land in order that the new owners can commence the erection of a modern garage thereon as quickly as possible. Myron Stone, the house mover, will move the old building about forty feet south from where il now stands and face it toward the east, wnere it will be put into shape, we understand, for the same purpose it has been used for so many years past.The new building will be 42x70 feet, built of cement blocks and hollow tile, making it fireproof throughout. The Welterlens intend to equip it with all the latest improved machinery for auto repair work, including a large vulcanizing outfit, and when ready for business they will be in position to do all kinds of repairing. They will also carry a complete line of auto accesor ies They are well versed in this speci 1 kind of work, having had ! considerable experience in handling ! and repairing automobiles before goinir to Highland Park College where both boys have graduated-from that institution. One of them has been a j machinist in the Hawkeye garage at Manchester for several months past and given good service to his employers.( The real estate deal was made through the Farmers' Savings Bank of this place and we congratulate them in being able to get two as fine young men as the Welterlen boys to become citizens of Edgewood, and we hope their business here will be a prosperous one.
