The damages in Page Co,, Va., caused by the late freshet, are enormous. The Hawksbill, Mill Creek, Dry liun, Pass ltun, Jeremy's Kuo, and other streams moved with mighty, dashing torrents. Neatly all the farmers along these streams have sustained great losses,—corn aud fences were swept away, and land and seeded grain fields were badly damaged.Stony Run, Alma, was fearfully high. Rev. J. W. iiausenfluck, residing at Alma, was forced to leave his residence, moving out his family, llis stable was so much undermined, as to cause it to tilt. In Luray quite a number of families had to leave their residences.The railroad was much damaged. The county roads are terribly washed and iujured. In some places their beds will have to be entirely changed. Other portions of the county suffered greatly. Honey Run was raging and foaming. Its waters sapped the foundation of a barn.The llaney Tannery, Lnray loses about 9500. The approximated losses to farmers in the county are from $8,000 to $10,000.
