Waller Hereford Farm of Sulphur Bluff, owned by Major and Mrs Charles Waller, was named Breeder of the Year by the Hopkins County Hereford Association at the annual awards dinner Thurs day night accomplishments the Wallers in the past year. The farm had the grand cham pion and top selling bull at the association's annual bull sale. He also pointed out that the Thelma Lu Waller and her two sons, Charles and David, have shown cattle throughout North east Texas. The Wallers were picked to represent East Tex as at an American Hereford Association regional heifer show in Louisiana Mrs. Waller manages a small but select show string that includes a bull that has garnered out 10 grand and reserve championships last year. The pride of the show string is a 15-month-old heifer that has won 12 grand cham pionships without defeat The Wallers were praises for their active support on the association Their farm has a small but select herd of reg istered Herefords. It was es tablished in 1970 by Raymond Waller. In other business, Vaughn ers elected are Billy Gregg vice president; and Mike Hodge, secretary. Honorary memberships were given by the association to Jim Crawford, Roy Holder Rosemary Gregg, Cherry Richardson and James Hulen It was announced the ass ciation’s spring sale on Sat urday, Feb. 18, will have an equal number of bulls and females.
