Miss Zerger, Don Shook Announce Wedding PlansA December wedding is being planned by Miss Janie Zerger and James Donald Shook of Duncanville, Mr. and Mrs. Waldo J. Zerger, 501 W. Louisiana, Anadarko, Okla., parents of the bride-elect, have announced.Parents of the groom-to-beare Mr. and Mrs. James D. Shook of 242 W. Moore.The wedding will be held at ; 8 p.m. Saturday, December 4, in the First Christian Church of Anadarko. Attending the couple will be Miss Alice Harrell, Oklahoma City, serving as maid of honor, and Pete Robbins, Duncanville, best man.Miss Zerger is a graduate • of Oklahoma City University where she received a Bachelor degree in Music. She is a member of Alpha Chi Omega, Sigma Iota and the Cresent Club.The bride-elect, currently Miss Oklahoma City, was named Lambda Chi Cresent Girl, Phi Mu Alpha Sweetheart, Yearbook beauty queen three years, and All-College Tournament queen. She was winner of the Sigma Alpha Iota Patroness award and the AGMA and OCU Opera Workshop awards.Miss Zerger toured theOrient and Europe with theSurrey Singers, under the auspices of the USO, and sang with the Lyric Theatre in Oklahoma City. She has been amember of the Casa Manana Resident Company in Fort Worth for two summer seasons.Shook, who received bachelor of science and master ofscience degrees from East Texas State University, was named three times to “Who's Who Among American Colleges and Universities'' and won the AGMA award.He was a member of the Student Senate, Supreme Court, tennis team, chorale and varsity quartet and Delta Tau Delta Fraternity. He was employed by the Threatre at Six Flags Over Texas and has been a member of the Casa Manana Resident Summer Stock Company fouryears.Currently employed as a teacher at Duncanville High School, Shook has taught at Greenville, Junior High School and Temple Junior College, and was a graduate assistant instructor at East Texas State University.
