ROY ENGLE MEETS TRAGIC DEATH AT STUDEBAKER MINE. OTHER NEWS NOTES Farmersburg News Roy Engle, 24 years of age, son of Ananias and Rosa Nead Engle, was instantly crushed to death by a rock fall at the Studebaker mine, 4 miles east of Farmersburg, Monday morning, Nov. 6, while at his work loading coal. The rock that fell on him was about 4 feet wide, 8 feet long and 3 feet thick, crushing his face, chest and breaking his neck. Death was instantaneous. He is survived by his father and mother, four brothers, Jess, Arthur, Alva and Harley and two sisters, Mrs. Hazel Flowers and Mrs. Pearl Flowers, and a host of relatives. The funeral was held Wednesday at 20p. m., at Nyes Chapel, with bur ial in the Nyes Chapel cemetery.
