Political Equality Meeting.The second annual meeting of the Black Hawk County Political Equality Club was heldin the Baptist church of this city on Wednesday. The following officers were elected: President, Mrs. Sarah Whitney, Waterloo; Vice President, Mrs.- Eliza Wright, Cedar Falls; Secretary and Treasurer, Mrs. Winnie Briggs; Waterloo. Delegates were present from Finchford, Waterloo and Cedar Falls. This county has raised and spent nearly three hundred dollars for the county,and state work the past year. A; very encouraging interest in the Woman’s Standard, our state' paper, was shown, nearly every member cf the convention subscribing for it. The convention rejoiced greatly over, the good news from South Dakota of the success of the woman suffrage amendment, making the fifth star on ' the - woman’s flag. Shall Iowa make the sixth?
