On last Thursday, in Chicago, fifty horses afflicted with epizootic died, that might, with proper care, hare been saved. Instead of letting the animals rest, they were actually overworked. IIow would an ostler with the typhoid fever like to be put to hod-carrying? There is nothing so good as kindness and gruel. Don’t give your nag a bait in the hope to have his cough abate.
