Stackhouse, an aged and much esteemed dilxen of this community, was arrested by military authority (rumor says at the Instigation of Wm. JT. Willing) without being informed of the nature of the offence for j which be was arrested. A few days later the Crystal Springs Herald office was taken « charge of by the aame authority and proof-sheets demanded.
