(PHOTO BY DANNY VALDES) ONE AND ONLY — Bessie Lounsbury, the first and only woman to be admitted to the Nursing Home Care Unit of the Veteran's Administration Hospital takes time out from her daily routine to participate in a favorite pastime, crochet sculpture. Mrs. Lounsbury was discharged Saturday after being treated for a broken hip. She said that she enjoyed her stay, and that the nursing staff were “lovely.”
