(Speciali— ‘That an apparent joke had result ed in 2 grim tragedy, bringing pain ful death to Dr. Dennis Smith was the evidence, submitted Wednesday night by witnesses appearing in the preliminary hearing of a charge of manslaughter against John Melnick, of Red Lake.
