BATHING AT THE PALODURO CANYON.Palo Dura Canyon is one of the tuo't Iwautirul natural sjsots in Texas, and affords fine bass fishing and duckshooting.The Canyon is a favoriteplace for recreation, and in the summer is daily visited by pleasure parties, not onlj the members and guests of the Palo Duroelub, which has a fine preserve and lodge, butby the general public as well,who either run down for the day or camp out in the shadeof the trees.This canyon is one of many upon the Plains, nearly all of them with streams of never-failing water,usually abounding with bass and perch, as well as water fowl.These canyons are also the source of supply of much of the fuel and [osls used on the plains.The photograph shows a parly of Amarillo young iolk bathing in one of the great pools in the Canyon.
