DANVILLE — The Winfield-Mt. Union Wolves defeated the Danville Bears, 6-0, in the final football game of the season here Friday night and finished with a 2-7 rec ord in the Southeast Iowa confer ence. Danville ended up 1-8. QB Jim Carlson passed seven yards to Larry Haight for the only touchdown of the game in the first quarter, Danville missed on two scoring chances. The Wolves stop ped their foe on the two yard line with 30 seconds to go in the game. Chuck Reighard, John Busbee, Randy Kongable, and Jack Marston led the WMU defense. Steve Norder recovered two fumbles. The Wolves rushed for 159 yards, completed five of 12 passes for 49 yards and made 10 first downs. Danville had 148 yards rushing and completed four of 11 passes for 50 yards. The Bears notched 12 first downs.
